nfl mock

As USF junior defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul weighs his options between leaving for the NFL Draft and returning for his senior year, another mock draft has him projected as a first-round draft pick.
ESPN.com's Todd McShay unveiled a new mock first round and has Pierre-Paul as the No. 21 pick, going to the Miami Dolphins. (Washington QB Jake Locker is his No. 1 pick, with the Bucs getting Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh one pick later.)
The only other Big East player in McShay's projected first round is Rutgers tackle Anthony Davis, who he has No. 9, and three players from Florida's defense make his top 20: end Carlos Dunlap, corner Joe Haden and linebacker Brandon Spikes.
As a reference point for what the No. 21 pick in the draft might make, last year's No. 21 pick, Browns center Alex Mack, signed a contract that reportedly had $8.3-million guaranteed as part of a five-year deal.
One question I have to research in the next few weeks before Pierre-Paul's decision: When is the last time the NFL Draft had a first-round pick who had played just one season of major-college football?
